24 years creating smiles, transforming lives and conveying trust.


Creating and re-creating smiles is an art we have been embracing for 24 years now. This March we celebrated our 24th anniversary and, to mark the occasion, we took TRUST as our keyword. A trust we seek to convey to all of those who visit us. A trust that each day more and more people have in us!
Thus, we brought together personalities who, like us, have always passionately embraced their art and for whom, just like for us, excellence and sharing are a way of living. People like actors Alexandra Lencastre, José Raposo, Paulo Pires and Sara Matos, singer Rui Veloso, TV host Manuel Luís Goucha, Chef Kiko Martins or surfer Garrett McNamara. People who share our values and who, with a smile on their faces, say: WE TRUST MALO CLINIC!
It is an honor for us to hear them say those words! Because trust is not something that can be imposed. It's something that is built and won with proofs of value and know-how. It is a precious gift, a gift that is only given to someone who deserves it! Trust is born from absolute synergy, from total commitment from both sides, from strong relationships, fueled by the sharing of values and knowledge. And trust is vital when it comes to creating or re-creating a healthy smile. MALO CLINIC transmits this trust, stated in the words of its notorious ambassadors.
This was the motto of our #euconfio advertising campaign, which we launched nationwide to mark our 24th anniversary. We have 24 years of innovation, thoroughness, dedication and experience. 24 years of total commitment with research and development. 24 years elevating Dental Medicine to an Art with revolutionary products and techniques!

ANOTHER CASE THAT
TOUCHED OUR HEARTS

This month we saw the outcome of another very special case for MALO CLINIC. As promised, we provided a new smile to Vitor Engrossa, the former homeless man that TVI brought to us and that melted our hearts with his sympathy, simplicity and touching life story. The end result was remarkable and Vitor is now a new man! Another example of what our multidisciplinary teams are capable of doing, with their commitment, knowledge and experience.
It was a privilege for us to have had the opportunity to contribute to a happy ending for the story of our dear Vitor while doing what we like to do the most: Create Smiles and Change Lives!
 


24 YEARS OF HISTORY IN THE
WORDS OF PAULO MALO

With MALO CLINIC celebrating its 24th anniversary, MAGG invited Dr. Paulo Malo for a long interview. An engaging conversation about the stories that make MALO CLINIC's Story: the most important moments, the obstacles overcome, the strong commitment to innovation and the satisfaction of having already provided a new smile to so many people. "THE LARGEST DENTAL GROUP
ACROSS BORDERS"

In a month of March in which MALO CLINIC had unparalleled visibility, there were countless requests for interviews with Dr. Paulo Malo. Another of these interviews was granted to Exame magazine, focusing on the successful process of internationalization of the brand. A process that was neither easy nor linear, achieved with a lot of "blood and sweat", but a process that made MALO CLINIC the reference it is today, “the largest dental group across borders”, recognized worldwide and present in 6 continents, 22 countries and 66 cities.
 


PROMOTING THE IMPORTANCE
OF ORAL HEALTH AT CMTV

World Oral Health Day was celebrated on March 20 and MALO CLINIC was at CMTV to mark the occasion and to remember everyone that prevention is the best solution! At the studio, Dr. Ramiro Loureiro spoke about the importance of introducing good oral hygiene habits from an early age and also talked about the Oral Health Awareness campaign that MALO CLINIC will carry out at schools nationwide during the month of May. Our mascot, MAKALO, was also there and offered gifts to everyone.

Being our anniversary, we had unprecedented media coverage during this month. In addition to mupis and billboards all over the country, it was possible to find us in newspapers and magazines such as Expresso, Exame, Sábado, Visão, Jornal Negócios, Correio da Manhã, MAGG, Courier Internacional, The Portugal News, Diário do Sul, Jornal de Leiria, Caras, e VIP. In addition, to celebrate our 24th birthday - and in line with our commitment to sustainability - we were also at the paper bag of the March 12 edition of Expresso newspaper.
We highlight a text in E magazine where we emphasize the importance of the word "trust" when it comes to creating or re-creating a smile. Read it in full.
 


EVEN MORE REASONS
TO CELEBRATE

Two of our 16 clinics across the country have also recently celebrated their anniversaries! Inaugurated in 2013, MALO CLINIC Coimbra celebrated its 6th anniversary, while MALO CLINIC Cascais completed its first year of smiles on 15 March. To mark the occasion, both clinics launched a special one-month campaign for Dental Evaluation Appointments.
Using the same medical protocols with the high standards of quality and rigor defined for any MALO CLINIC in the world, these two units continue to spread smiles and distribute happiness to those who visit them! Congratulations to their teams!

NOTEBOOK

Giving a voice to our clinical staff, consisting of doctors, dental assistants and hygienists, as well as to our laboratory technicians, remains a priority for us. This Notebook feature is already a success, with the articles published here reproduced afterwards as editorial articles in the national media.

This month, Dr. Ricardo Almeida writes about the dangers of oral piercings and the changes, reactions and health problems they can cause.

WAY WE COMMUNICATE

Because during these 24 years of history we have also set the difference with our style of communication, disruptive, emotional, sophisticated and innovative, it was with great pride that we received the news that MALO CLINIC is part of the shortlist of finalists for the first edition of the Lisbon Effectiveness International Advertising Festival. The event aims to reward the most effective advertising works and its jury, comprised of prominent names from the national and international marketing world, who selected our advertising campaign "The Art of Creating Smiles" to be among the nominees in the AWARENESS EFFECTIVENESS Healthcare & Pharma category.

MALO WINES WITH A SPECIAL
VISITOR AT PROWEIN

Proving the quality of its wines, MALO WINES was present in the 2019 edition of ProWein, the world's largest wine and spirits fair, held annually in Dusseldorf. Alongside some of the best wines in the world, the MALO WINES stand received a very special visit during the event: the Portuguese Prime Minister, António Costa, who made a toast to the international success of Portuguese wines!
 


HELPING MOZAMBIQUE

Solidarity is another of the values that is part of our DNA and we couldn't remain indifferent when looking at the tragedy that struck Mozambique with the passage of Cyclone Idai. That's why we didn't hesitate to associate ourselves with Grupo TIN in the production of the special edition of Visão magazine "MOÇAMBIQUE NO CORAÇÃO" (“MOZAMBIQUE IN OUR HEARTS”). An edition with a circulation of 50,000 copies with the revenue reverting in full to the Red Cross mission in Mozambique. Together we are stronger and we can make the difference by helping those who need it the most!
