We want the planet to smile


Over the last few months we have been talking about the concerns that environmental problems arise in us and highlighting the attention we have always payed and will keep paying to social solidarity and environmental sustainability.

In August it was time for us to start distributing our MALO CLINIC Green Kit through attractive “giveaways” on our FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM pages. Many followers have tried their luck, eager to experiment first-hand some of the products that are part of our eco-friendly sustainable kit, like the bamboo toothbrush (adult or child), the activated charcoal dental floss, the bamboo cotton buds and the pointer pen, also made of bamboo.

In all, 20 people were contemplated during the four weekends in which we carried out this initiative and were able to start making small gestures for a greener planet. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF THEM!

Composed of products made from renewable, sustainable and biodegradable materials, the MALO CLINIC Green Kit has at the same time a didactic purpose, seeking to alert not only adults but also youngsters, because preserving the planet so as not to compromise natural resources for future generations is a mission we must all embrace.

Remember that the change begins in the small gestures that are within our reach and it's literally in our hands. At MALO CLINIC we want the Planet to Smile!

A STORY OF LOVE
AND RESILIENCE

The story of Jovane and his mother, Lucrécia, a courageous mother who has fought for her family all her life against the many adversities she has encountered, has touched us deeply. We could not remain indifferent, so we got to work and gave Jovane a healthy smile. But we didn't stop there. Moved by the strength that Lucrécia, an example for every Mother and every Women, as shown all her life, we decided to give her more reasons to smile, so we will take care of the smiles of her whole family. Because someone who shows this strength deserves all our respect and affection.
A story with a happy ending thanks to our commitment to social solidarity which will have even more chapters full of smiles!
 


WE SHARED OUR
KNOWLEDGE IN POLAND

In August MALO CLINIC Warsaw hosted a seminar on clinical and scientific communication in which the latest scientific results, as well as new products in the field of oral implantology, were addressed. There was also time for a clinical training session for Oral Hygienists with Dr. Miguel de Araújo Nobre. This action is part of the continuous training of the MALO CLINIC professionals that we are keen to provide, in order to provide all our teams with relevant information for their daily clinical practice.

“I TRUST MALO CLINIC
WITH MY FAMILY”

TRUST is, for us, a keyword! A trust that is palpable in the conversations we have been presenting with our illustrious ambassadors, in which they talk about their special relationship with MALO CLINIC.
This time it was Garrett McNamara's turn to say “I do Trust” (#euconfio) and to share with us the reasons that lead him to put not only his smile but also the smile of his wife and his kids in our hands. We are proud to hear these words spoken by such distinguished personalities. Personalities that, like us, have always passionately embraced their art and share the same values with us.
 


JOIN US AT NAZARÉ
ON SEPTEMBER 27TH

Determined to ride the wave of environmental sustainability and social solidarity, together with our ambassador Garrett McNamara and his partners Hugo Vau and Andrew Cotty we launched the BIG WAVES & SMILES project, through which we will carry out a major awareness-raising action in Nazaré, on September 27th.

More than an event, this is a movement looking to contribute to reduce the ecological footprint. Together we can save the planet, so join us!

In August, in addition to mupis, billboards and buses all over the country, we were once again present in numerous media: Sábado, Visão, Visão Saúde, Expresso, Correio da Manhã, Saúde Oral, Essential Lisboa, Algarve and Madeira, MAGG, Caras, TV Guia, VIP, Jornal Sporting, The Portugal News, Diário de Coimbra, CMTV, Sporting TV... Besides that, the case of Jovane at Portugal a Sorrir was featured in more than a dozen media outlets!

LOOKING AT THE FUTURE
WITH A SMILE

At MALO CLINIC we know that a child's smile is the most valuable thing there is. And so that children can continue to smile happily and healthy we try to promote as many initiatives as we can. With our commitment to the environmental cause, actions like the one we will take together with surfer Garrett McNamara and his team at the end of September in Nazaré, and awareness campaigns like the one we carry out annually at schools across the country, which we will repeat again in May 2020 reminding young people - and everyone else - that "Prevention is the Best Solution", we are focused on providing a future full of smiles!

NOTEBOOK

We continue to give voice to our clinical team of doctors, dental assistants and hygienists as well as to our laboratory technicians. This Notebook section is already a successful bet, with the articles published here later reproduced as editorial articles in the national media.

This month, Dr. Vera Janeiro talks about dental trauma, clarifies what we should do if a tooth falls or breaks, and explains how the dentist proceeds in such cases.

MALO CLINIC Porto celebrated its 10th anniversary! Ten years creating smiles, changing lives, arousing emotions and distributing Happiness! Makalo, our friendly mascot, was there to liven up the party and the patients who visit the clinic for an appointment on that day were given an Oral Hygiene kit, courtesy of MALO CLINIC and COLGATE.

A NEW SMILE
FOR THE DRAGON

In the same month that MALO CLINIC Porto celebrated its 10th anniversary we entered the field and established another important partnership in the north, showing once again that sports are also part of our DNA. It is a great pride for us to see FC Porto joining the range of flagship clubs we have as partners. Sport is health and a good oral health is crucial for practicing sports. So, join in and come kick the cavities out of your teeth with us!
 


PORTIMÃO, CITY OF SPORT

It wasn’t only in the north that we showed our sports DNA. Portimão is, in 2019, the European City of Sport and there have been plenty of activities on that matter in the city over the last few months. In order to, once again, remind everyone of the importance of a good oral health for a correct sports practice, MALO CLINIC Portimão did not want to be left out and participated in numerous initiatives, including lively beach activities marked by physical activity. good mood and lots of smiles.
