We helped dental medicine to take another step forward! For the first time in History, an immediate implant surgery with dynamic navigation was broadcast live in Europe. That surgery was performed at MALO CLINIC Lisboa by Dr. Armando Lopes as part of the Innovation Day by Nobel Biocare! We showed everyone what we can do!
The revolutionary navigation system used in this surgery, the X-Guide ™, works like a GPS for implant placement. A dynamic 3D navigation system that allows to scan, plan and perform a computer-guided surgery in the same day.
With the use of a computerized tomography and an intraoral scanner of the patient, and through a software - DTX Studio implant -, it is possible to virtually plan the placement of the implant. From that point, the X-Guide™, providing a 360-degree view, guides the surgeon in real time, showing the margin of deviation from the planning done in the software. This leads to a more accurate placement of the implant, elevating speed and precision to a new level, while giving complete control throughout the surgery, enabling the surgeon to adapt the treatment plan at any time.
