"Filhos do Coração" (Children of the Heart). This is the name of the association founded by TVI’s journalist, Alexandra Borges, who seeks to expose child slavery and rehabilitate children, who are victims of this scourge in Ghana. In this African country, parents sell their children, for less than 30€, to traders who resell them to fishermen.
Forced to work 14 hours a day, seven days a week, for a single plate of food, the lives of these children leave us perplexed in the face of such atrocities. MALO CLINIC immediately decided to support this project. The partnership began, on world smile day, in a social media campaign, where for each "like", MALO CLINIC donated 10 cents for the “Filhos do Coração” Association.
There were many "likes", but this was not enough, so we carried on helping.
On November 7th, a special event will take place at MALO CLINIC Lisbon - The solidarity notebook "SMILE” will be released.
The notebooks can be purchased in all our clinics in Portugal and will cost 10,60€. The revenue reverts entirely in favour of the Association.
